CLASSES

TUMBLING and CHEER--Recreational

 

BEGINNER Ages 3-8 This class is designed to build a strong foundation in basic tumbling skills required in level 1  cheerleading.  Athletes will focus on learning and mastering skills such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, front walkovers, and backwalkovers.  This class is designed to strengthen the athlete's flexibility and body awareness and master the proper tumbling technique necessary for beginner level skills.

LEVEL 1 TUMBLING Ages 8+ This class is designed to build a strong foundation in basic tumbling skills required in level 1  cheerleading.  Athletes will focus on learning and mastering skills such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, front walkovers, and backwalkovers.  This class is designed to strengthen the athlete's flexibility and body awareness and master the proper tumbling technique necessary for beginner level skills.

LEVEL 2 TUMBLING Ages 8+ This class is designed to build on foundational skills learned in the beginner/level 1 class and progress towards more advanced tumbling skills and techniques required in level 2 cheerleading.  Athletes will focus on learning and mastering skills such as round offs, front handsprings, backhandsprings, and more complex combinations and sequences like backwalkover backhandspring or series backhandsprings.  This class emphasizes proper form, technique, and execution as athletes continue to improve their strength, flexibility, and body control.

LEVEL 3 TUMBLING Ages 8+ This class is designed for advanced tumblers who have mastered their foundational skills and are looking to push their skills to the next level.  Athletes will focus on learning and mastering tumbling skills and combinations required in level 3 or higher in cheerleading.  Advanced skills may include aerials, back tucks, layouts, and more intricate combinations and running passes.  Instructors in this course provide specialized coaching to help athletes refine their technique, increase difficulty, and maintain safe tumbling habits and practices.

CHEER AND TUMBLING BASICS Ages 3-8 This class includes the best of both worlds, as it incorporates basic cheerleading and tumbling skills.  Athletes will focus on mastering the basics of cheerleading, including motions, jumps, stunts, and dance techniques.  Additionally, they will learn tumbling skills associated with level 1 all-star cheerleading including forward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, roundoffs, and front/back walkovers.  This class is designed to give athletes the opportunity to strengthen their cheer and tumbling skills prior to entrance into prep or elite cheerleading or just for fun!

TEAMS

ELITE PROGRAM

The elite cheerleading program is designed for highly skilled and dedicated athletes who are committed to excelling in the sport of cheerleading at the competitive level.  Elite teams practice and compete on a "full year" basis, typically from June-May.  Athletes in the elite program are selected and placed on age and skill appropriate teams based on evaluations that take place at the start of the competitive season. Depending on age and level, elite athletes can expect to practice between 3-6 hours per week and attend between 5-10 competitions both locally in the New England area and possibly at National competitions in Orlando, Florida.  Our elite teams compete on the Varsity circuit with the hopes to qualify for the Summit Championships at the end of the season.

HALF-YEAR/PREP PROGRAM

Our half-year and prep program offers athletes the opportunity to participate in competitive cheerleading with a slightly less intensive commitement as compared to our elite programs.  Our half-year or prep program is perfect for athletes who may have other commitments like school activities but still want to experience the thrill of competitive cheerleading.  Our half-year program caters to athletes involved in other cheerleading programs like Pop Warner or AYC.  Athletes in this program can expect to practice around 4 hours per week and attend approximately 5 competitions, all local to the New England area.  The typical half-year season lasts November-April.  Our prep program coincides with our elite program timeline (June-May) but restricts the weekly practice times and number of competitions.

OTHER SERVICES

BIRTHDAY PARTIES

CTV offers the best in birthday fun.  Our parties are 1.5 hours and include time in our gym to tumble, play games, and have a glow dance party under our black lights!  Parties are instructor led and include your choice of either pink or lime tablecloth and paperproducts.  Our waiting room is set up with your decorations and ready to house the whole party for pizza and cake (if you choose)!  Parties are offered at select times on Fridays and Saturdays.  You can book parties directly through our website or contact us if you have a special time slot not listed.  

POP WARNER/AYC TEAMS

CTV offers a range of services to Pop Warner and/or AYC programs.  Services focus on season preparation, skills training, and competition preparation and practice.  Services include team tumbling sessions, custom routine choreography, routine clean up, and stunt clinics.  CTV will work individually with your program to provide a unique service that is just the right fit for your teams.  Please contact us for pricing and details.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

PRIVATE TUMBLING SESSIONS

CTV offers private and semi-private tumbling sessions with any of our qualified tumbling instructors.  These sessions cater to the specific tumbling needs and goals unique to each athlete.  Our facility includes a wide range of training surfaces (spring floor, rod floor, dead mat) and equipment (spotters, barrells, air tracks) for use at private tumbling sessions.  Please contact us for pricing and details.

OPEN GYM

CTV offers open gym sessions most Friday nights from 6-8.  Open gym sessions are available to elite team members as well as non-gym members.  While open gym sessions are monitored and supervised by our staff, they do not include any coaching or instruction. Athletes attending open gym work independently on tumbling and/or stunting skills.

GYM RENTALS

CTV offers rentals of its facility to cheerleading and/or dance teams, organizations, or businesses.  For more information and for availability, please contact us directly.
